Fall Show Auditions
Auditions for Lucky Stiff, book and lyrics by Lynn Ahrens, music by Stephen Flaherty will be held Monday, August 5 and Tuesday, August 6, 2024 at 7 p.m. at the Elizabeth Reinholz Theatre, Beloit Memorial High School, Beloit WI 53511.
The script requires 4 females and 6 males, ages 20 – 60+. Singing audition will be required. Accompanist will be provided.
Based on the novel, The Man Who Broke the Bank at Monte Carlo by Michael Butterworth, Lucky Stiff is a hilarious murder mystery farce, with mistaken identities, six million bucks in diamonds and a corpse in a wheelchair. An unassuming English shoe salesman is forced to take the embalmed body of his recently murdered uncle on a vacation to Monte Carlo. Should he succeed in passing his uncle off as alive, Harry witherspoon stands to inherit $6,000,000. If not, the money goes to the Universal Dog Home of Brooklyn… or else his uncle’s gun-toting ex!
